A bunch of fresh flowers is always an inspiration for a painting in the moment. Half of these Iceland Poppies were still closed and within an hour or two, they actually popped open and the display of colours …. magnificent! The bright friendly colours of the flowers were a constant reminder of the radiant personality of my friend, Lorraine, who gave me these flowers. I just had to capture the mood!
